This position is located in Vancouver, but you’ll be able to work remotely up to 3 days a week. Our office is closed for the 11 statutory holidays in B.C. as well as Easter Monday and Boxing Day.What you’ll be doingReporting to the Director of Project & Business Architecture, the Technical Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the delivery of projects within the Core Regulatory Transformation (CRT) program. CRT is a significant component of the larger multi-year organizational strategic initiative called Business Transformation. The PM will be planning, executing, and delivering (5+) technical projects consisting of a CRM upgrade, finance system upgrade, document management, and data report integration. The PM brings excellent project management skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical groups.Collaborates closely with key partners and provides oversight of all Information System and Business Operation projects (5+) that are part of the Core Regulatory Transformation Program.Engages with appropriate PMs and ensures that a rigorous method of measuring progress is in place for each project.Leads and manages the full lifecycle of technical projects, from initiation to closure.Refines and implements a Program Governance structure that is efficient and focused on bringing about success in the Core Regulatory Transformation.Defines project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with key groups in the CRM ecosystem.Develops and delivers detailed project plans, charters, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget.Provides direction and training to junior staff members in project management and program needs.Coordinates and communicates project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path.Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution as well as with contractors to ensure vendors are held accountable per SOWs/Service Level Agreements.Conducts regular project status meetings and provides updates to stakeholders.Monitors and controls project scope, schedule, and budget.Communicates project risks with Director of PBA and key sponsors, mitigates and resolves issues that may impact project delivery across various projects.Ensures adherence to project management best practices and methodologies.Conducts post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.Provides training and guidance to the Program Coordinator (CRT) in project management.Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing learning related to Indigenous cultural safety and humility and supporting organizational actions towards addressing indigenous-specific racism in BC’s health care system.Fosters and maintains an organizational culture that promotes equity, diversity and inclusion, mutual respect, teamwork, and service excellence.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline, plus recent project management experience or the equivalent combination of experience and education.7-10 years experience as a Technical Project Manager in technical transformation, software development or infrastructure projects.Experience in implementing and configuring CRM systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics).Demonstrated experience in strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.Extensive experience in stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving.Proven ability to manage and collaborate with a system integrator, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and quality standards.Experience transforming from on-premise to cloud-based environments is highly desirable.Good technical knowledge of programming languages, databases, software development methodologies, and system integration.Strong foundation in project management principles Agile and Waterfall methodologies and delivery using a hybrid (agile and waterfall) model.Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP or PRINCE2).Strong understanding of public sector/healthcare industry regulations and compliance requirements is an asset.Experience training and providing guidance to junior resources.Regulatory compliance experience with a proven track record of successfully navigating complex regulatory environments, collaborating with legal teams, and ensuring that all functional and technical requirements meet regulatory compliance is an asset.How to applyIf you are interested in this position, please apply online by October 21, 2024.
