Property Compliance and Inspectors Officer

Property Compliance & Inspections Officer (PRS) Location: Southend-on-Sea, covering Essex and the Southeast Salary: Competitive, based on experience Hours: 9am – 5:30pm Please note possessing a driving license is mandatory for this role. We are seeking a motivated Property Compliance & Inspections Officer to join our team. You will play a vital role in ensuring our PRS portfolio is safe, well-maintained, and fully compliant with legal and council requirements. This is a key position supporting our Works and Compliance Manager in maintaining the highest standards of health & safety and property upkeep. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct property inspections to identify maintenance needs and compliance with council licensing. * Provide detailed site survey reports for void rental units, highlighting necessary works. * Inspect reported maintenance issues and coordinate with the maintenance team to arrange appropriate contractors and works orders. * Perform periodic checks to ensure ongoing property conditions meet safety and regulatory standards. * Participate in the out-of-hours emergency rota, providing clients with 24/7 support. What We’re Looking For: * At least 3 years’ experience in lettings or property maintenance, with a strong understanding of private sector housing legislation. * Full UK driving licence is mandatory (company car provided). * Knowledge of property maintenance, H&S regulations, and council licensing requirements. * Excellent communication skills to liaise with tenants, contractors, and local authorities. * Ability to manage a varied workload independently and under pressure. * Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Word, Excel, and property-based software (MRI Evolution experience desirable). * Full UK driving licence (company car provided). Qualifications: * GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C or above). * ARLA qualification desirable but not essential.
