Job Summary:

Manage distribution operations, oversee efficient and accurate product distribution, and lead a team to meet shift KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team to ensure shift KPIs are met in full and on time.
  • Develop and engage the team to achieve optimum performance.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures in distribution activities.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance distribution processes to maximise efficiency.
  • Ensure outgoing orders meet quality standards and perform regular audits.
  • Role model the company's DNA and ensure it is followed by the team.
  • Deal with day-to-day queries from colleagues and liaise with HR and Training Teams as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records on production, food safety data, and analyse this data to identify trends.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure Food Safety and Health & Safety standards are met and sustainably maintained.
  • Undertake basic problem-solving activities and escalate to the Distribution Manager where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Instructions.
  • Effectively coordinate the service to ensure operations run smoothly.
  • Undertake audits and follow through on actions regarding compliance to Food Safety; Health & Safety Standards.
  • Lead or be involved in ad-hoc projects as and when required.
  • Champion key company strategies and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in distribution management position.
  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software applications.
  • Proficient in G-Suite.
  • Solid awareness of distribution processes and quality control practices.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.

Location:

The Windmill, 1 Holme Lane, Spondon, Derby, DE21 7HW.

Shift Pattern:

4 on 3 off either Sunday to Wednesday.
