The successful candidate will join the Division of Vascular Surgery at the MUHC, which currently consists of 7 surgeons across 2 hospitals dedicated to providing the highest standards in Vascular Surgery patient care, research, and education. The MUHC is a major teaching hospital affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Canada’s internationally renowned McGill University, located in the vibrant and multicultural city of Montreal, in the province of Quebec.

Job Duties:
The Division of Vascular Surgery is seeking a candidate with clinical expertise in all aspects of general vascular surgery, thus being capable of providing the necessary consultancy-level support for elective and emergency vascular surgery for our institutions. Supplementary formal clinical fellowship training beyond vascular surgery residency is a requirement. While added expertise in peripheral arterial intervention as well as formal exposure to the programmatic implementation and administration of a limb-salvage program is of particular interest to the Division, this is not a requirement for application. Qualified individuals with other fellowship training that is viewed as potentially enhancing the clinical and scholarly mission of the Division will be considered.
The successful candidate will be involved in all academic activities of the Division of Vascular Surgery and will be expected to engage in and develop an academic practice at the MUHC. The incumbent will participate actively in all clinical activities in the Division of Vascular Surgery including a general vascular surgery practice and the provision of on-call vascular surgery consultancy support.
The successful candidate’s major non-clinical focus will be two-fold. Protected non-clinical time will be provided to assist in the development of a research or other scholarly focus and program, with the view to garner peer-reviewed grant and salary support. The incumbent will also be expected to be actively involved in all other aspects of McGill’s academic mission (i.e., teaching, supervision of students and residents and involvement in academic and administrative committees).
All McGill faculty members are also expected to contribute to service activities within their units, the University, and the wider scholarly community. A demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion is also expected.
