Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Associate Vice President (AVP), Strategy & Enterprise Performance on a permanent basis. This position requires onsite work, with flexibility, based in Saskatoon, SK. This is an exciting opportunity to enable the development, leadership and execution of enterprise-wide processes as part of our Co-op and External Relations Business Unit. What you’ll do: The successful candidate will help senior leaders translate strategic intent into action and results in matters such as External Relations, Organizational Performance functions, Communications, and Public Affairs. They will also: Provide strategic direction to FCL’s various business units with an understanding of the complex interdependency between FCL and our member owners within the Co-operative Retailing System. Set clear direction for corporate performance management, change leadership, enterprise risk management, and enterprise portfolio management with alignment from senior leaders. Provide strong recommendations on complex decisions impacting enterprise-wide strategies. Support the ongoing development and implementation of a comprehensive government relations and Indigenous engagement strategy for the CRS. Prioritize reporting activities to enhance the Co-op brand in Western Canada, ultimately helping us capitalize on new opportunities while mitigating risk. Oversee and provide approval on all government and public relations strategies. Who you’ll work with: You will build and maintain relationships internally with business unit leaders and our member-owners, and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for six direct reports and will advise on their teams, including the Organizational Performance functions of enterprise portfolio management, corporate performance management, organizational change management, enterprise risk management, External Relations and Communications & Public Affairs. You will report to the Vice President (VP), Co-op and External Relations and promote a culture of employee engagement, innovation, and a commitment to quality stakeholder relations. Who you are: You are looking for a career in Strategy & Communications and: Have 15+ years of relevant progressively responsible experience successfully operating in a complex multi-stakeholder organization. Have a university degree, with a preference at the graduate level (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered). A professional designation (considered an asset), e.g., PMP, CPA, or CPHR. Have a demonstrated ability to lead a team, influence peers, and impact senior leadership. Have experience in project management or leading a transformational change/project in a complex enterprise environment.
