Vet et Nous is a multidisciplinary team composed of veterinarian both generalists and specialists operating at high rank whose mission is to take care of client’s pets as if they were our own. Our teams are split in 3 emergency and reference centres open 24/7 and several general practice hospitals and clinics in the greater Montreal, Laval, Montérégie, Laurentides, Lanaudière, Mauricie, Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean and Quebec region.
You play a key role in the team since you manage the veterinarians by ensuring that they offer professional and quality service while respecting the values of the company. You implement exemplary medical practices in collaboration with the regional medical director.

Main Responsibilities:
Management:
Participate in the veterinarians’ hiring process
Overseeing the on-boarding and integration of new veterinarians into the team and ensuring that they receive adequate training
Planning and conducting performance appraisals of his/her team members during their probationary period and for periodic evaluations
Contributing to the preparation of veterinarians’ schedules
Managing day-to-day operations with his/her team members (supervision on the floor, answering questions, etc.)
Training and motivating the key players in his/her team to ensure proper succession management
Coordinating annual leave requests for his/her team
Working in collaboration with veterinarians to answer medical-related complaints from clients
Operations & Communications:
In collaboration with the regional medical director, identifying training needs and planning training activities to keep team members’ skills up to date, and staying informed about new technologies
Promoting the adherence to best medical practices by all team members
Developing and updating operational protocols for the proper functioning of his/her team
Planning, facilitating and following up on team meetings and ensuring that all information is conveyed
Carrying out pharmacy/medicine management
Strategic Development:
Identifying and leading medical operations plans to ensure progress and continuous improvement
Supporting VCA Canada regional initiatives
Time Allocated to the Task:
8 scheduled hours per week
Requirements:
Proficiency in French written and spoken
Veterinary doctor with 5 years experience in a general practice hospital setting
Good stress management skills
