Position Summary Reporting to the GM of Ontario, the Director of Sales will focus on driving sales growth and supporting our Sales teams within our GTA Rental Divisions. The Director of Sales will manage the sales operation through planning and executing the activities of the sales team, including developing sales strategies, creating and supporting KPIs while establishing rapport with the sales team and developing their fundamental sales skills and knowledge. Key Responsibilities Team Management & Mentorship Lead, coach and motivate sales team, setting individual and/or team targets, conducting regular 1:1s to ensure sales team is well supported in their roles. Collaborate with peers across sales and operation teams to identify and implement continuous process improvement opportunities to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual revenue numbers to GM in format consistent with reporting requirements. Ensure the provision of excellent customer service from the team using persuasive up-selling/value added services. Develop a team spirit and encourage employees to reach their full potential by providing training and opportunity for advancement. Communicate with and motivate personnel to perform together at peak efficiency with an enthusiastic and positive attitude toward the company and its customers. Prepare and deliver sales training program including qualifying opportunities, account planning, consultative sales, and inbound lead conversion. Champion product knowledge across the team, including recommendation and packaging across solution sets. Develop, communicate, and own revenue targets for Regional Sales team. Operational Effectiveness Implement an effective and scalable sales model, including org. structure, definition of roles & responsibilities, metrics, SOPs, and policies. Work with sales leadership colleagues from other regions to procure and implement a CRM. Business Development Lead the development and preparation of large and unique rental proposals, quotes and contracts for key accounts and partners in coordination with the team. Be a customer experience champion. Actively engage and look for feedback from existing customers and implement changes to continually drive stronger engagement and likelihood to recommend. Work as a brand ambassador at industry events. Take advantage of opportunities to promote businesses, and continually maintain its position as the market leader and voice for the industry. Build a strong partnership with national sales peers ensuring a healthy, collaborative approach to market is established, that cross-selling opportunities are maximized, and ensuring clients are aware of the full suite of solutions offered through Element’s brand portfolio. Promote the organization in the event rental industry. Manage and assist in the performance of sales and marketing activities for the company. Provide exposure of the company through community involvement with business and civic organizations in the community. Assist the business development arm of the team through proactive outreach to existing and future partners to identify event rental needs and grow relationships to drive new sales. Work with BD Rep to focus on new business development and growth activities through the development of presentations to establish relationships with new partners and key account opportunities. Requirements & Qualifications Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, train and mentor a large team. Minimum 8-10 years in a sales leadership role. Diploma or degree in Marketing, Sales, Hospitality Management or related field. Proven track record of sales success in events, tourism or hospitality sector. Digitally and technologically savvy. Must be comfortable navigating new systems. Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle. Ability to work outside of regular office hours to attend industry/client events. #J-18808-Ljbffr
