Job Requirements / Description
Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations and manage resources effectively.
Work with warehouse operations managers to ensure proper delegation of work flow.
Train and instruct key personnel on performance of specific tasks when required.
Work with the HR Team and participate in the hiring and training process of new personnel.
Establish a contingency plan with warehouse operations managers when personnel are absent to ensure continuous work flow.
Prepare production and performance reports to be submitted to senior management.
Create and establish long-term strategic goals for the organization by identifying potential opportunities and evaluating the current market trends.
Oversee the proper completion of all necessary documentation.
Act as a mediator for internal conflict and ensure the conflict is resolved.
Set up discussions with the operations managers to ensure proper work flow of operations and improve team collaboration.
Monitor all teams to ensure compliance with all safety practice requirements (food safety and Health & Safety included).
Coordinate activities between Quality Control, Production, and Food Safety.
Initiate ongoing operational efficiency activities.
Create and monitor current and existing Key Performance Indicators and present to executives.
Prepare and maintain reports in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Assist with special projects when required.
Other duties relevant to the position will be assigned as required.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
Proven track record of leading continuous improvement.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Effective at communicating with all levels of management within the business.
Must be able to quickly ascertain a situation and problem solve – strong decision-making ability required.
Excellent time management and leadership skills required.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
Minimum ten (10) years of management experience – preferably from a food production and highly regulated industry.
Post-secondary diploma in business management, Operations/Supply Chain or other relevant field.
