About the Role Remote/Hybrid with travel required to various sites Nationwide for Commissioning / Installation activities. This is an opportunity for a talented Electrical Project Engineer to contribute to innovative projects in the renewable energy sector. You will provide design, installation, and commissioning expertise to our in-house construction team and EPC contractor for the delivery of a 1GW pipeline of Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects, ranging from 5MW to 70MW. You will design solutions, review system designs, and engage with stakeholders to ensure technical compliance and timely project delivery. This hands-on role requires excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and experience leading multiple projects from planning to execution. Job Outline * Specification of electrical requirements for solar and energy storage systems; review and approval of designs * Standardisation of design and equipment across projects * On-site inspections and factory witness testing for compliance with specifications * Review as-built drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness * Review energisation plans and procedures * Full commissioning of all equipment with electrical responsibility and safety * Prioritise Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards * Oversee electrical handover into operations * Create commissioning checklists and ensure project delivery on time and within scope * Incorporate lessons learned into future projects What You Will Bring to the Role * Degree/HND in electrical engineering * Expertise in Low Voltage and High Voltage systems, particularly for large-scale solar and energy storage systems * Project engineering experience on large projects * Experience in a safety-driven industry, preferably power generation or utilities * Ability to challenge costs, technical solutions, and schedules * Flexibility in work location and hours to meet business objectives * Commitment to quality and "right-first-time" solutions * Experience with codes of practice and national/international standards * Flexibility to work across various systems Visa Sponsorship is not availabe for this role
