We are working with a well-established, privately owned construction and cost consultancy renowned for its collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality projects. They are seeking a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with senior team members, supporting them in pre- and post-contract duties across a range of sectors, including hospitality, leisure, education, residential, and commercial projects. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills further while gaining exposure to various projects. Key Responsibilities: * Assisting in the preparation of cost plans, tender documents, and financial statements * Carrying out measurements for Bills of Quantities/Schedules of Work * Conducting final account assessments and interim valuations * Supporting the assessment of cost variations to contracts * Liaising with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery About You: * Some knowledge of construction and an understanding of quantity surveying duties * Maths and English GCSE (Grade C/5 or above) * A relevant qualification that allows entry into a RICS-recognised construction degree course is desirable. * Strong organisational and communication skills * Eager to learn and develop within the construction industry Benefits: * Competitive salary (£30,000 - £40,000, depending on experience) * 25 days holiday plus bank holidays * Flexible working options
