Job overview
Are you looking for an opportunity where you can have a real impact on patients, their loved ones and your colleagues?
Our chaplaincy team is seeking a Hospital Chaplain to join them in Norfolk and Suffolk, to help grow and shape the pastoral, spiritual and religious service we provide.
You’ll be joining a small, collaborative team and will be supported with clergy supervision by Cambridge and Peterborough NHS Trust.
This is a part-time opportunity for 9.4 hours a week. You’ll be based largely in Bury St. Edmunds, potentially covering the counties of Norfolk and Suffolk so must be able to travel between different locations.
It is integral that you are open minded and prepared to work with patients, their relatives and friends, and staff and students; whatever their cultural and faith tradition, for the purpose of pastoral, spiritual and religious care.
Although there will be a lot of independent working, there will also be an expectation to support with the development of volunteers into the chaplaincy team; something we are very passionate about.
If you’re suitably qualified and seeking an opportunity to work alongside inspiring, compassionate individuals – we’d love to hear from you!
There may be further hours available in the coming weeks/months across our organisation, so we would welcome applications from all and we can discuss further at interview.
