Temporary Works Manager

James Gray Recruitment are actively seeking a Temporary Works Manager on behalf of our client a well respected Tier 1 contractor to join their team in Glasgow. Our client: •A leading Tier 1 contractor known for their delivery infrastructure projects across the UK. What you’ll be doing: • Manage and oversee the coordination of temporary works, ensuring design requirements meet project specifications. • Develop temporary works procedures, risk assessments, and method statements. • Liaise with project teams, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and alignment on temporary works plans. • Review and approve temporary works designs and solutions, ensuring compliance with legal and safety regulations. • Act as the primary point of contact for temporary works coordination on-site, ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with relevant standards. • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor the implementation of temporary works. • Ensure all temporary works activities are documented and recorded, keeping up-to-date records for future reference. • Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental considerations in all aspects of temporary works management. What you’ll need to be successful: • Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. • Proven experience in managing temporary works in a construction environment, ideally within large infrastructure or building projects. • Thorough understanding of the relevant temporary works codes, standards, and regulations. • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges on-site. • Can demonstrate experience of overseeing a broad range of reinforced concrete, formwork and falsework Temporary Works • Ideally experience in design and/or engineering management What’s in it for you: • Competitive salary £60K-£75K • Plus, benefits package What you need to do next: Please hit the APPLY NOW button to send your CV to Gemma Gardiner at James Gray Recruitment.
