Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Shift Engineer to join our maintenance team. This role focuses on Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, ensuring that all mechanical systems operate efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct PPM tasks on a variety of mechanical systems. * Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests, diagnosing and resolving issues. * Collaborate with the engineering team to implement continuous improvement initiatives. * Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. * Assist in training and mentoring junior engineers as needed. Requirements: * Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications. * Proven experience in maintenance engineering, ideally within a facilities management environment. * Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, with a focus on PPM and reactive maintenance. * Experience with steam systems is highly desirable. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
