Senior Electrical Designer

At HAYS Manufacturing we are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer (EPLAN) to join our CLIENT'S team.Your new Role As an Electrical Designer, you’ll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and equipment. Your expertise will contribute to efficient and reliable solutions. We are looking for someone with preferably experience in the manufacturing/food industry.Your responsibilities:Designing Electrical Circuit and System Layouts:Create detailed layouts for electric power distribution systems, including circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, and schematics.Specify components such as breakers, relays, switches, and connectors.Assembling Electrical Panels:Lead the assembly of electrical panels, ensuring proper wiring, labeling, and organization.Collaborate with document control personnel to maintain accurate records of facility maintenance drawings.Collaborating with Engineers and Technicians:Work closely with other engineers and technicians to create designs that meet technical requirements.Ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with mechanical and process components.Preparing Detailed Design Drawings:Develop detailed design drawings for Front End Engineering Designs (FEED) and fast-track projects.Include information on cable routing, conduit layout, and equipment placement.Specifying Electrical Components:Select appropriate components for power distribution and control systems.Design control panel layouts, considering safety, accessibility, and functionality.Calculating Design Data:Determine lighting requirements based on workspace needs and safety standards.Calculate cable sizes, voltage drops, and load capacities.Layout and Design:Create layouts for control rooms, Power Distribution Centers/buildings (PDC), analyzers, and loading buildings.Optimize space utilization and accessibility.Your Qualifications:2-5 years of experience designing electric panels using EPLAN or/and AutoCAD Electrical in a professional setting.Proficiency in EPLAN for precise electrical design.Experience with PLC programming using Allen Bradley.Familiarity with industrial belt control, refrigeration control, and cleaning sequences.Nice to HAVEProficiency in AutoCAD Electrical Knowledge of state-of-the-art methods and tools used in electrical design.Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).Ability to take drawings from conceptual design through construction documents.If you believe the Senior Electrical Designer role would be a great next step in your career please apply to the following link.
