Job Title: IT Systems and VOIP Engineer Location: Newbury with travel to client sites Salary: Competitive plus car Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Start Date: ASAP We are looking for a versatile IT Systems and VOIP Engineer to join our Technical Services Team, covering a rapidly growing client base in and around Newbury and other regions. Please note that frequent travel to client sites is required and therefore a full valid driving licence is essential to be considered for this role. Key Responsibilities: Preparing solutions designed across on-Premise, Cloud and Hosted VOIP systems, including 3CX systems Installation of Gateways, LAN Switches and applicable voice equipment Designing and supporting appropriate VOIP platforms based on client requirements Provide support based upon investigating and addressing network and connectivity issues to ensure seamless communication Maintaining system and responding to technical issues Training end users on telephone systems Previous experience of client site visits performing a variety of Proactive Maintenance task. Ability to confidently design, install, commissioning and maintaining a range of IT infrastructure systems to include on-premise Servers, End point security, Firewalls, Wifi alongside a security stack of products. Administration and troubleshooting of O/S and Apps consisting of Microsoft Windows Server, Desktop OS, Microsoft Cloud Technologies, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Group Policy, SharePoint, Remote Desktops, DHCP, DNS etc.About you: You will possess a range of infrastructure skills, have demonstrable experience working with voice, data and wireless network systems, and be passionate about delivering excellent customer service all the time. Technical experience: Previous experience within a similar field-based role for an MSP Must have experience of building, supporting and developing 3CX solutions Experience of HP/Aruba Networking and Ruckus WIFI advantageous Proven knowledge and ability to work on issues relating voice, data and wireless network systems. Good knowledge of OSPF, BGP, Vlans, STP, HSRP, vPC, 802.1q, etc. Good working knowledge of line protocols, including ISDN/PRI, DID/ DNIS, VoIP, SIP, 1DM, Analog, 1.38, DS1/DS3, Metro Over Ethernet, MPLS and Broadband Experience of working with Watchguard, Fortigate and Meraki firewalls Have a versatile approach to new technologies and be able to demonstrate learning capabilities Wi-Fi solution experience & knowledge Awareness of Cyber Security requirements within Network infrastructure Server infrastructure consisting of Windows HyperV, Citrix and VMWare.
