Our product is deployed inside our customers' cloud account (AWS, GCP, or Azure), on a Kubernetes cluster that we create and manage for them.We're a team of 10 (mostly engineers) based in France - half of the team is in Paris with an office space, the other half is remote. We work with customers at a global scale and across various industries. The interest from prospects and the Spark community is growing fast, and we need help to turn them all into successful customers.The opportunityYou will lead the adoption of Data Mechanics by working with our US customers across their lifetime from pre-sales conversations, to the POC phase, and to growing the usage over time.We're looking for a technical solutions architect with strong expertise in Spark and cloud architecture, a customer-first mindset, and an ability to execute in a fast-paced startup environment full of challenges!As one of our first Solutions Architect, we are looking for a builder! You will have a critical impact on the success of our company, and will be rewarded accordingly.You will:Build and present reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications for customersWork with customers to help them understand, evaluate, and adopt Data MechanicsImplement proof of concepts, and build integrations with customers' tools and data sourcesProduce blog posts and customer stories and present them at meetups, webinars, and conferencesEnsure the success of our customers by providing help, guidance, and supportLay the foundations and define best practices for your future fellow solutions architectsEngage with the engineering team to guide customer requests and define our roadmapRequirements:BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experienceSignificant production experience with Apache Spark and cloud architecturesThe consulting mindset: communications and listening skills, and a customer-first mentalityBonus points:Experience in customer-facing rolesProduction experience with KubernetesRequired Location:USA/Canada (ideally eastern or central time zone)Email us at [email protected] to apply!
