Job Description About our SEO Market Strategist role
As an SEO Market Strategist on our team you will be the connection between the SEO team and the rest of the company. You will be instrumental in the development of SEO roadmaps for your region and collaborate with teams across the business to ensure implementation to drive performance. You will also work with cross-departmental teams on special projects related to key business priorities, representing SEO viewpoints. You will use data to make decisions and to assess the impact of our work. You will be responsible for monitoring and reporting regional performance, and using those insights to drive prioritisation of work, representing your region’s business priorities into the SEO team.

To succeed in this role, you will need a good all-round knowledge of SEO, inclusive of onpage and content, technical, and offpage SEO tactics. Excellent communication skills are required, particularly being able to explain and get buy-in on SEO concepts to audiences that may not have strong familiarity with the craft.

About the team
The SEO team is responsible for driving organic search performance globally. We serve all markets where Sage is active, helping new and existing customers get to our websites and engage with our product offering. As a team, we look at performance through the lens not only of traffic and ranking, but also revenue and conversion. We have team members around the world and are a talented mix of technical, content and off-page SEO experts.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Summary of your day-day
- Collaborating with the SEO team to identify opportunities and developing roadmaps of work to improve traffic, ranking and revenue performance
- Owning the presentation of roadmaps of work, and QA and delivery of SEO recommendations to stakeholders in your region
- Prioritising and shaping work to be completed by the SEO team, using your knowledge of the business priorities and capabilities to ensure we’re doing the most impactful work first always
- Monitoring and communicating organic search performance, looking at the complete picture of not only traffic and ranking, but also including other SEO metrics, conversions, and revenue
- Owning relationships with stakeholders outside of the SEO team, within region and globally, proactively communicating business priorities and updates into the SEO team, and representing and advocating for SEO viewpoints to external stakeholders in an accessible way
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams in working groups to deliver excellent experiences for our customers that demonstrate our market leadership

Minimum qualifications
- 3+ years of SEO experience, with a good knowledge of content and onpage SEO, technical SEO, and offpage SEO
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present an SEO idea clearly to a group who do not have a deep knowledge
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to think big picture
- Ability to make data driven decisions and think critically
- Strong time management and timeliness skills

The compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, education, and experience. Certain provinces in Canada require job postings to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range applicable to the role.

For this role, in those locations, the target salary range for new hires is: $61,000 to $91,700

In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either a bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, commission plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates. The range listed is just one component of the Sage total compensation package.
