SUMMARY

Responsible for the planning of production by analyzing a cross section of plant production activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Maintains Master Data for new and existing products - BOM and standards accuracy.
  • Oversee the execution of the daily inventory transactions and adjustments. Perform production and inventory reconciliations & material usage variance and waste analysis.
  • Prepare and input daily production reports for reconciliation purposes - SPC, scrap, regrind, production output, Slow moving and Finished Goods scanning accuracy.
  • Reviews production schedules and communicates on relevant KPI including schedule adherence metrics - collaborates between production and logistics team
  • Reviews standard operating procedures and internal controls are in place to ensure compliance - supports with training MO when required.
  • Assist in design, monitoring and implementation of inventory control process.
  • Coordinated cycle counting of lumber, gaskets and other relevant consumable materials.
  • Maintain all records pertaining to Blending and Grinding operations.
  • Daily communication with all aspects of production, on-hold inventory, cycle count and transfers
  • Prepare reports on regular and ad hoc basis for management
  • Payroll back up
  • Other duties as required

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • College Diploma
  • Two years production scheduling or inventory control background in a complex job shop operation.
  • Excellent math aptitude,
  • Microsoft Office
  • Excellent Excel Skills
  • Knowledge of JDE/SAP an asset
  • Strong interpersonal & organizational skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
