Job Description
Coordinator, Finance (Toronto, Ontario)
Position Summary:
The Finance Coordinator will be part of Brookfield's Corporate team and will report into the Manager, Finance. Located in our head office in Downtown Toronto, the Finance Coordinator role will support our North American corporate operations, impacting directly into our period end financial reporting results.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities for this position would include, among other things:
• Lead and own the full cycle of related party billings and collections, including:
o Preparation, delivery and collection of the invoices billed to related entities for charges incurred on a quarterly basis;
• Manage shared mailbox;
• Concur T&E payment approvals to ensure proper allocations and expense types;
• Manage payroll journal entries and review funding request on a bi-weekly basis;
• Prepare the GST/HST filing on a monthly/quarterly basis for various legal entities;
• Handle of mail and courier requests, and bank visits as required;
• Prepare wire payment forms for related party as required;
• Provide supporting documents to internal auditors on a quarterly basis;
• Backup the accounts payables function re payment activities and vendor set up procedures as required;
• Ad hoc projects as requested
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Two to three (2-3) years of general finance, office or administrative experience, preferably at large organizations with multiple cost centers or legal entities;
• Completion of a university/college degree;
• Proficient at Microsoft Excel and Word; including creating and using data analytical formulas;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Highly organized and able to work in a dynamic, complex and fast-paced environment, as well as adapt quickly to manage changing priorities and deadlines
