Job Summary:

The Mohs Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting Mohs Surgeons by managing all administrative tasks related to patient scheduling and follow-up. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills to ensure efficient and effective patient care coordination.

Essential Functions:

To successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to satisfactorily execute each essential function with or without reasonable accommodation: Organize and maintain surgical paper charts (Mohs maps) on a weekly basis, ensuring all necessary preparations are completed. Oversee the management of tasks within the Electronic Medical Assistant (EMA) system. Handle intra-team communications and scheduling, specifically related to patient calls and coordination within the Mohs team. Regularly check and respond to voicemail messages for the Mohs department, ensuring timely and appropriate responses. Confirm surgical appointments and manage the surgical cancellation list. Ensure consistent and reliable attendance. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. Check in and check out patients Answer incoming calls for the department Obtain benefits and prior authorization for surgery Obtain estimate of cost of surgery. Call patients to inform them of balance Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is required; some college coursework is preferred. Experience:

At least one year of administrative experience in a medical setting. Certifications & Licenses:

Not applicable. Technology Skills:

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), particularly EMA, is preferred. Physical and Mental Demands:
