A part of the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), UI Health comprises a clinical enterprise that includes a 495-bed tertiary care hospital, 22 outpatient clinics, and 13 Mile Square Health Center facilities.Position SummaryThe Clinic Director directs the daily administrative operations of one or more ambulatory clinics, including the management and supervision of professional and/or support staff in the delivery of quality and safe patient care. The Clinic Director reports to the Chief Ambulatory Operations Officer and collaborates with the Clinic Medical Director and Chief Ambulatory Medical Officer.Duties & ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning, Goal Setting and CommunicationsDetermine, plan, and establish the strategic course to improve and strengthen the health care business and services in the outpatient clinics.Analyze changes in demographics, market competition, and social and economic factors to formulate the clinic's vision and values statements.Oversee provider scheduling process.Attend all regularly scheduled Ambulatory Clinic Director meetings and conduct clinic staff meetings.Responsible for the regular dissemination of UIH information to clinicians, staff, and patients.New Business DevelopmentReview and provide input into the modification of the clinic structure and its services.Ensure Hospital, Ambulatory Services, and Clinic/Departmental policies and procedures are reviewed and updated regularly.Monitor and ensure regulatory compliance with standards from The Joint Commission (TJC) and other oversight bodies.Financial / Budgetary ResponsibilityDevelop the annual budget for the clinic and prepare requests for capital equipment.Jointly responsible for the Clinic's profit and loss, budget variances, and visit volumes.QualificationsMinimum QualificationsMaster's Degree in Business Management, Health Care Administration, or Public Health, and 3 years of experience in an outpatient care setting, including management experience in an academic environment.Bachelor's degree and a total of 6 years of management-level experience in healthcare.Financial acumen in understanding, preparing, and managing operational budgets.The University of Illinois System is an equal opportunity employer, including but not limited to disability and/or veteran status.To apply, visit this link #J-18808-Ljbffr
