Solutions Architect - Senior software development Azure .NET C#, SQL Server, PowerShell REST API. Hybrid working 1 day per month in the UK office Our client is a pioneering technology company that has been shaping lives for decades . They provide technology and resources supporting millions of people globally. The Role: The client is seeking a dedicated Solutions Architect to join their Group IS team. This role will operate at a high level, with occasional needs for lower-level technical architecture based on project requirements. Responsibilities: Problem Definition and Requirements Identification: Support the Head of Architecture in defining and delivering the IT strategy. Ensure the business strategy aligns with technology systems architecture. Assist in refining and shaping ideas for change, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and evaluating existing IT systems for potential weaknesses. High-Level Designs: Develop or contribute to high-level designs based on requirements. Define common elements and create patterns and standards. Low-Level Detailed Designs: Create detailed technical design documents for in-house development. Assist third-party System Integrators with detailed functional and technical designs. Project Delivery: Ensure conformance to detailed designs, troubleshoot and resolve design issues. Collaborate with the support team and third-party System Integrators during project handovers. Knowledge Sharing: Update standard Architecture Team artifacts and ensure business understanding through governance forums. Document and generate graphical representations of the overall system architecture. Essential Qualifications: Senior software development experience. Experience in technology-led business transformation projects. Previous role as a Solution Architect. Broad experience across different software packages. Experience delivering large IT projects on time and budget. Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Desirable Qualifications: Prior experience within a distribution-centre business. Working knowledge and/or certification in TOGAF. Technical Skills: Essential: Microsoft Azure DevOps, .NET C#, SQL Server, PowerShell, Azure integration services, REST API, and JSON web services. Desirable: SQL Server Integration Services, Visual Basic 6.0, Office 365, Power BI, Power Platform, SharePoint, XML Transformation using XSLT. What’s In It For You?
