About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced tutor to join our team at the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Housing Academy. As a tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting learners to achieve their housing qualifications and enhancing their overall learner development and experience.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching and assessment, with a focus on housing qualifications. They will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and assessment, providing ongoing support and guidance to learners, and contributing to the development of our housing qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment to learners studying housing qualifications
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to learners, including feedback and guidance on coursework
- Contribute to the development of our housing qualifications, including the design and delivery of new courses and materials
- Collaborate with other tutors and stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of our housing qualifications
- Stay up-to-date with changes to policies and procedures, and working practices communicated to tutors through the Tutor and IV Moodle area and the CIH HA Newsletters
Requirements
- Relevant teaching and assessment experience, preferably in a housing or related environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with learners, colleagues, and other stakeholders
- Ability to motivate and support learners, with a focus on enhancing their learner development and experience
- Knowledge of the housing sector and contemporary issues facing housing practitioners
- Ability to work effectively in a virtual learning environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality teaching and assessment
