Business Systems Analyst Calgary, AB (Onsite) Long Term Contract · Custom development - Working on project, programs and agile squads for Digital within the following portfolio items on and Electronic Billing & Payment, Account and Wireless Dashboards, Sign-in, Identity Management and microservices. · Experience managing technical projects or having technical background regarding development is required · RFP experience and vendor management will be an asset · Document internal business user and functional specification requirements using interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, and task and workflow analysis in moderate to highly complex environments. · Prepare documentation on expected benefits, use cases, current/proposed process, workflows, data flows, process re-engineering studies, functional specifications, risk integration, end-user adoption plans/ guides and organization structures. · Interact with the users of the functional applications to understand their needs and to anticipate ways in which technological solutions can enhance the business processes. · Collaborate with Product Owners, Design teams and Solution Managers to achieve a holistic solution · Provide excellent cross-organizational communications and subject matter expertise. · Review the technical design, development and implementation plan and vendor statement of work for assigned projects. · Represent project stakeholders throughout project delivery. · Preparation of system documentation including T-shirt sizing, Requirements Matrix, PS, PS, Solution Design Specifications and testing guidelines following the IT System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). · Conduct project review sessions, obtain sign offs, and coordinate acceptance tests to ensure timely delivery of requirements. · Interact with Systems Analyst/Programmers to ensure that questions and discrepancies about specifications are resolved during the solution development process. · Conduct Gap Analysis. · Provide implementation support and assist with post implementation support Qualifications, Skills and Attributes: · Undergraduate degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent. · - years' experience as a Business Systems Analyst preferably with hands-on knowledge in designing and providing solution to applications within the web infrastructure · to years' experience using Rogers systems preferred and/or an asset · Experience with a variety of Project Management, Business Process Management and Software Development Lifecycle methodologies (Waterfall and Agile). · Demonstrated success working with internal and external business teams to understand and gather requirements and working with project teams to meet expectations. · Ability to quickly grasp new ideas and solutions and communicate effectively with colleagues (business and technical staff) and end users. · Excellent decision-making, verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and organizational skills. · Ability to build relationships, work collaboratively, and resolve problems with people at all levels in the organization. · Experience working with external vendors. · Willing to travel to the GTA to meet with business partners. · Core Competencies: Strong technical background, ability to handle high pressured environment, customer service orientation; teamwork and collaboration; adaptability; initiative; analytical thinking. · Role-Specific Competencies: Business Analysis; innovative design skills, problem solving; work-flow analysis; project management. · Ability to express ideas and facts in a clear and understandable manner, tailoring communication to the intended audience. · Demonstrated problem solving skills. · Highly developed analytical and logical reasoning skills. · Excellent time management and priority management skills. · Proactive, responsive and focused. · Flexible and possesses a willingness to take on new projects/roles and to contribute to the team's success in a variety of capacities. · Self-starter with the ability to multi-task effectively and independently within a fast-paced environment. · Be a leader on the team, mentor and assist other BSA's on the team to achieve excellence · Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes for a successful delivery of a project · - years experience running Agile methodology, writing requirements as User Stories and help manage the backlog
