Third In Charge

We are recruiting for an experienced room based Third in Charge to join a lovely nursery in based in Islington, Greater London. Candidates will need to have experience of working with toddlers /pre-school aged children and a good working knowledge of EYFS curriculum planning. Person Specification: NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification Experience of working with 2-5 years old Good team building experience Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable) Paediatric First Aid (Desirable) Some of the responsibilities for Room based Third in Charge will include: Leading staff in the room and ensuring children are being adequately supported in their learning and development Promoting equal opportunity, compliance with EYFS curriculum requirements and planning exciting age appropriate activities both indoors and outdoors Key worker responsibilities to recording children’s development Working in partnership with parents and key interfacing groups Working to nursery policy and procedures and ensuring all staff understand and adhere to them Attending parent’s evenings and supporting open days Attending staff meetings and training as required Working 40 hours per week Benefits: Excellent benefits in include training, uniform, and further career progression.
