Science teacher - September - Oldham Are you a Qualified Science teacher looking for your next opportunity? Do you live in or near to Oldham? Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher of science to join a secondary school in Oldham. This role will be a full time position starting after the summer break and will be the whole of the academic year. You will be required to be able to teach at least 1 of the sciences, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The school is a welcoming school where you will feel part of the team from day 1. You will teach KS3 and then some KS4 classes in your specialist subject. The successful candidate will be able to provide exceptional support to students, demonstrate good behaviour and classroom management. You will need to deliver interesting & engaging lessons to key stage 3 & 4 classes, mark the work and provide feedback regularly. You will also need to attend departmental meetings & attend parents evenings if there arise. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location Oldham Position Science Teacher Start date September 2024 End date - July 2025 Duration - 3 terms Full time Minimum rate of pay GBP153 per day Hours 8:15 am 4 pm EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent Previous experience teaching Science in a UK school Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential) Up to date prevent awareness & FGM training issued in the last 3 years (essential) TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide at least two professional child related references If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
