We are on the lookout for a People Resourcing Manager to help support our recruitment initiatives and processes here at Farncombe Estate, working as part of the small, but lovely, HR team. 


Farncombe Estate, in the beautiful Cotswolds countryside, is home to three very different, yet luxurious and award-winning hotels, Dormy House, Foxhill Manor and The Fish. Our Estate is also home to our head office and Estates team, so the work of recruiter here is wide and varied. 


This role is part time, ideally around 30 hours, however we can offer some flexibility on this. You will be reporting into the HR Director. The ideal candidate will be organised, professional and possess a warm personality with a creative flair. You’ll have recruitment experience in the hospitality industry, and be enthusiastic and driven to achieve great things each day. Perfect for someone with strong attention to detail and skilled in building great work relationships, this role offers a unique opportunity to work in a top class hospitality People Team.


We offer a salary package of up to £41,600 full time equivalent per year, pro-rata depending on your total contracted hours (ideally around 30 however we can look at this flexibly), plus a share of gratuities generated by the Estate. Overall, for a 30 hour per week contract, the annual salary expectation would be £31,200 basic plus gratuities. 


Day to day role:



  • Work with hiring managers to understand the requirements and expectations of different positions
  • Use various sourcing methods to attract and identify potential candidates, such as job boards, search licenses, social media, referrals, etc.
  • Screen and evaluate candidates based on their resume, skills, experience, and fit for the role
  • Conduct second screen of shortlist by phone, video, or in-person interviews and support the hiring managers at interview if required
  • Coordinate and facilitate the hiring process, including making offer, reference checks, background checks, etc.
  • Proactively monitor frontline recruitment activity, identifying areas of concern and working with hiring managers to identify areas of potential concern and improvement
  • Build and maintain a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs
  • Provide a positive and engaging candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
  • Track and report metrics and trends
  • Deliver recruitment training, or ‘how to guides’ to new hiring managers to improve their recruiting skills
  • Good working knowledge of employment legislation required
