Job Requirements / Description
Your day to day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manage the entire software life cycle (CI/CD pipelines, QA system, productization and packaging)
Contribute to the development our core software stack using Rust
Be a collaborative and transparent team member
Be a key contributor to the software architecture and design
Be technically hands-on and dive into coding, troubleshooting, and debugging, and developing automated solutions
Manage a growing team of engineers and direct reports by providing hands-on coaching, training, and mentoring
Lead individual project priorities and deadlines as well as providing feedback on other projects and team milestones
Work through the phases of discovery, requirements, architecture, specification, design, implementation, and deployment on projects
To participate in testing new products and features and develop procedures
You will bring:
Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
15+ years of experience as a back-end software engineer with DevOps experience
10+ years’ experience in Linux
10 years of experience leading and mentoring a technical team
Commitment and accountability for quality, technical excellence, and results including managing projects from inception through completion
Curiosity and enthusiasm to learn, experiment, and deliver innovative solutions
Experience working in a start-up environment
Solid understanding of software architecture and systems-level engineering
Experience with distributed systems and databases
Experience with communication protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, etc.)
Great communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent presentation skills to a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external
A strong understanding and experience with security is crucial
