Residential Support Worker

Are you a support worker looking for a full-time, permanent opportunity working within a Children’s residential home based in Kings Heath, Birmingham? Highbridge Resourcing are recruiting for a passionate and reliable Support Worker who has a passion to work with children and young people (aged 8-18 years) Our client is an independent provider of children’s homes and support services for children and young people. It offers therapeutic care and support to vulnerable children and young people from across the West Midlands with emotional/behavioural difficulties. The full-time support worker role is 37.5 hours a week. It pays £12.20 per hour There is shift work involved Monday to Sunday and you will be required to undertake sleep in duties. Shift times are (Apply online only) and you will undetake 2-3 of these per week. You must have the following: * NVQ level 3 in children and young people or an equivalent qualification. * Experience working with children and young people * Experience working in a residential care setting * A passion and desire to work with children and young people * Patience, empathy and understanding * Excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to record data accurately. * The ability to work flexible working hours which includes evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep in duties. * A clean and enhanced DBS .
