As a Project and Mission Technologies Manager, you will assist the Vice President of Technologies at LCI Education in the strategic management and coordination of the IT project portfolio. This role is designed to align IT projects and initiatives with the organization's strategic objectives, optimize portfolio performance, and drive effective governance processes. You will also support key project management initiatives, enhance communication and change management, maintain comprehensive documentation, and develop solid business cases for IT initiatives. You will collaborate with IT managers, development teams (PODS), and other departments as needed for projects, participate in audits, maturity analyses, and the development of roadmaps. Additionally, you will define and monitor IT performance indicators (KPI/OKR), manage dashboards, contribute to Lean Six Sigma initiatives, and organize the IT Project Management Review, while directly managing certain projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • IT Portfolio Management: Develop, implement, and manage the global IT portfolio, ensuring alignment with LCI Education's strategic objectives and optimizing resource allocation;
  • Project Management: Support IT initiatives from start to finish, develop detailed project plans, and monitor progress to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery;
  • Communication and Change Management: Execute communication plans for stakeholders and lead change management efforts for smooth transitions to new systems;
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date, and standard-compliant documentation for all IT projects and activities;
  • Business Case Development: Develop and present robust business cases for IT initiatives, including cost-benefit analyses and ROI projections;
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with ICT teams and other departments to ensure project success, including development teams and IT managers;
  • Participation in Audits and Analyses: Participate in IT audits, conduct IT process maturity evaluations, and develop strategic roadmaps;
  • Performance Indicators and Management Review: Define and monitor IT KPI/OKR, contribute to Lean Six Sigma initiatives, and organize the IT Project Management Review.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education and Experience: Undergraduate degree in Information Technology or Business Administration required; MBA or PMP certification desired; minimum of 5 years of experience in IT portfolio management or program management;
  • Leadership: Proven leadership and excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities;
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking and pronounced problem-solving skills;
  • Proficiency in Tools: Mastery of portfolio and project management tools, and knowledge of IT governance frameworks and best practices;
  • Project Management Methodologies: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and mastery of project management methodologies, including Agile and Lean;
  • Change Management: Experience in change management and skilled in developing business cases;
  • Certifications: ITIL certification required; knowledge of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) considered a plus;
  • This role involves interaction with clients and internal and external partners at a national and global level; therefore, professional proficiency in English is a requirement for this role.
