About Polar Knowledge Canada (POLAR):

The mission of Polar Knowledge Canada (POLAR) is to conduct world-class cutting-edge Arctic research. POLAR is a research organization established in 2015, playing a significant role in Canada's Arctic by anchoring a strong research presence at the Canadian High Arctic Research Station in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut. POLAR aims to promote the development of circumpolar regions, advance knowledge about the Canadian Arctic, enhance Canada's leadership on Arctic issues, and create a hub for scientific research in the Canadian Arctic.

Position: Executive Director of Operations and Logistics

As the senior executive responsible for operations and logistics, the Executive Director oversees all operational and support aspects of the Canadian High Arctic Research Station (CHARS). Reporting directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Director provides strategic leadership to ensure efficient and effective support of scientific research activities in the Arctic. The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced operations leader with knowledge of logistical processes, supply chain management, and facility management required for a large facility. They should have experience in coordinating complex operations involving multiple stakeholders and possess excellent communication skills.
