We are coming off a strong year and our ambitions are set even higher!About the roleThe Controller at Ambyint is a key financial leader responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting and compliance with the law. As the head of financial reporting, the Controller will manage all accounting operations and guide the management team on financial decisions and cash management.Reporting to the CEO and as a member of the leadership team, this role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounting, finance, and business operations, particularly in a technology-driven environment. We are coming off a strong year, and our ambitions are set even higher for 2024!What you"ll do? Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, GeneralLedger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.? Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, report variances, and preparefor regular financial reporting.? Cashflow management and reporting financial results to debt and equity providers.? Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internalcontrols.? Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting by implementing detailed checksand validation procedures.? Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.? Provide leadership and direction to the bookkeeper and any other finance staff, ensuring clarity overfinancial accounting and reporting responsibilities.? Analyze the company"s financial results concerning profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets.? Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management.? Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.? Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicablefederal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.? Work with external auditors to ensure the correct and timely closing and reporting of year-end audit processes.? Support the CEO in engaging the board's audit and finance committees around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.Qualifications? Proven working experience as a Financial Controller.? 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.? Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA preferred.? Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.? Experience with creating financial statements, general ledger functions, and the month-end/year-end close process.? Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.? Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.? Oil and gas industry and technology sector experience preferred.? Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.? Knowledge of statutory legislation and regulations.WHAT SETS YOU APART ?
