Data is a function within Group Digital and IT with the goal to unlock the power of data for the full Volvo Group to become a fully data-driven company! With data, the core component of our transformation journey, we will, together with our data talents, make the Volvo Group 2030 vision happen. We will take care of all the aspects of Data, how it is quality assured, documented, made available, prepared and consumed through BI, Analytics and Machine Learning. We have an ambitious transformation in front of us, with an implementation of the Data Layer in Azure as well as the reinforcement of Data Governance and Data Management in the full Group. We collaborate with other parts of the organization, both in Group Digital and IT, with TD/BAs and Group Functions. We foster an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. This is how you could make an impact
As the Head of Master Data, you will be key in development of the Master Data Management area for Volvo Group. In this role, you will have the ability to realize the values that shared master data like customer, product and partner can deliver. You will be a part of the Data Management Team and report to Thomas Baillon, Head of Data.
These will be some selected responsibilities:
- Define and evolve Master Data Management policies and tools
- Manage and deliver Master Data Management systems
- Drive modernization of the Data Management systems and processes
- Implement Master Data Management policies and best practices across the Volvo Group
Who are you?
We believe you want to take your career to the next level, working with amazing people around the world. You have a university degree or equivalent and several years of experience from leading leaders’ positions, preferably within Digital/IT Management. It is valued to have a passion for building and motivating world class, high performing teams and a strong interest for the Master Data Management area. You have a vision and experience of how to transform Master Data Management to the next stage. You are an experienced master data leader that is trusted for your deep understanding of the complexity and criticality of master data to deliver new business value.
You will develop the MDM strategy and roadmap and manage the technology evolution that is needed for the Master Data area. You have experience in delivering value by implementing new ways to manage Master Data on a broad scope. You are knowledgeable in covering the full scope of MDM, including data architectures and standards as well as legacy and next generation MDM technologies. It is beneficial to have experience in driving the priority setting and planning cycle for the area, including overall Capacity Management and resource allocation. As this role includes leveraging vendors and partners in a strategic way, your ability to reach shared objectives with external partners comes naturally to you.
