Industrial Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Optimize and control manufacturing and shipping supply processes in accordance with the Schneider Production System (SPS)
2. Inventory and storage optimization
3. Optimization of storage areas and quantities of products (minimum x maximum)
4. Respect performance objectives established
5. Work with “Lean Manufacturing” projects
6. Project management of multidisciplinary teams for the acquisition and implementation of new equipment and processes
7. Management of repairs/improvements of logistics equipment used
8. Responsible for the technical documentation associated
9. Develop the processes and be responsible for the technical documents associated and requests for services / purchases from suppliers
10. Participate in training certification for new operators
11. Ensure a safe environment for employees
12. Participate with the Quality Manager in the analysis of complaints, the determination of the root causes, the corrective actions to place and their implementation
13. Ensure the best techniques / methods for the reception / distribution of parts to the entire plant, improve working conditions, efficiency and quality of dedicated services
14. Analyze the root causes wastes and implement the necessary corrective and preventive actions
15. Provide the necessary support to the group
16. Perform additional tasks assigned by the manager
17. The ability to work with minimal supervision
18. Work in collaboration with the maintenance, supply chain, R&D, quality and production departments
19. All other related job-related tasks
20. Be able to interact with logistics/production teams and support functions in a collaborative environment
21. Be a facilitator of change

Qualifications & Skills required:

1. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Industrial or related Engineering
2. Experience of 3 to 5 years in an industrial environment at best logistics/magazine
3. Advanced knowledge of Autocad
4. Advanced Access Database knowledge
5. Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Excel is a requirement
6. Experience in the deployment of continuous improvement tools (5S, VSM, Kanban, Takt Time, 8 Wastes, Ishikawa Diagram, Kaizen, A3, Visually management, inbound, Material Handling, put away, Picking/Kitting process, Kanban loop, Truck preparation area and etc.)
7. Be able to interact with production teams and support functions in a collaborative environment
8. Be able to evaluate and manage action plans according to global priorities to achieve defined objectives
9. Advanced skills in French and English (essential)
10. Engineer member of the OIQ - an asset
11. Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure
