Network Engineer

As a Network Engineer at Terrapure, you will play a crucial role in designing, configuring, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, develop solutions, and support ongoing network operations. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and implement network solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware and software components, including Cisco routers, Catalyst and Nexus switches, FTD and ASA firewalls.
• Manage and optimize Meraki Wireless Network for Terrapure. Should have hands on experience in Meraki portal, WiFi 6/6E and an understanding of WiFi channels, bandwidth, and heat maps.
• Configure and correct BPDU Guard/filtering and switch port security to implement layer 2 security.
• Configure VLANs, VLAN filtering, VTP and VTP Pruning.
• Manage and configure GRE over MPLS and IP SLA / IPSec VPNs for failover links.
• Monitor network performance and security, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes to optimize performance and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network infrastructure with systems and applications, ensuring compatibility and reliability.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures, to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in networking and cybersecurity, and make recommendations for enhancements and upgrades.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of [10] years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on design, implementation, and support.
• Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting network protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and OSPF.
• Proficiency with network hardware and software, including Cisco and Meraki products.
• Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices, including firewall configurations, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control lists.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
