Management Accountant

Management Accountant (Manufacturing) Up to £50,000 + benefits Telford (Hybrid) Seymour John is recruiting for an international manufacturer based in Telford, who seek a Management Accountant. In this role you will have responsibility to provide robust reporting of the manufacturing element of the accounting function. You will report to the Head of Finance and act as a business partner to various key internal functions such as operations, the SMT and Group. In this varied role you will provide analysis and commentary of key manufacturing variances, whilst setting budgeted standard costs. You will actively participate in group finance projects and continuously look at ways to improve existing processes by redesign to exclude waste and provide efficiencies. * Support and manage the costing and controlling functions with a team of three reporting to include purchase ledger. * Perform the cash management functions including cash flow / bank reconciliations, IC netting & currency management * Ensure budgetary control of fixed costs/overheads * Monitor and report on Business Unit Fixed Cost deviations – Internal & external * Preparation of effective forecast & budget in the area of Operational Variances, Business unit (BU) Overhead and Inventory Valuations * Fixed Asset monitoring & reporting actual vs budget * Overall responsibility for the Fixed Asset and investment projects, including sanction approvals, asset control and verification, activations, disposals and depreciation journals. * Balance sheet reconciliations(Fixed Asset register) * Responsibility for approval of supplier payment runs * Cover for Senior Cost Analyst * VAT, plastic tax, corporation tax and deferred duty calculations and reporting * IFRS conversions around stock valuation and reporting To be considered for this role it is essential that you have experience in a manufacturing environment and strong knowledge of costing techniques and variance analysis. It is essential that you are a strong communicator who is not afraid to ask questions. Strong systems skills such as SAP or NAV along with an ability to manipulate and be confident in working with large sets of data.
