Job Description: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You will be responsible for managing classroom behavior, delivering pre-set lesson plans, and ensuring that students remain engaged and on task. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are considering a career in teaching or have experience working with young people. Key Responsibilities: Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers. Ensure students remain focused and adhere to the school’s behavior policies. Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure that students complete their work. Provide feedback to the regular class teacher on student progress and behavior. Support students with their learning and address any questions they may have. Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment. Requirements: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; a degree is preferred. Experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting. Strong classroom management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and work with a variety of age groups. A proactive and flexible approach to work. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.
