Maintenance Engineer

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer Location: Walsall Permanent Opportunity Salary: £40k negotiable dependent on experience. Hours Of Work: Monday to Friday 08.00am till 5.00pm with 1 hour lunch. We are working in partnership with a small food manufacturer who are growing rapidly and are looking to employ a multi skilled maintenance engineer. Responsibilities for multi skilled engineer. · Reporting directly to the Engineering manager daily. · Ensure all work practices adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures. · Must be able to work on own and as part of a team conducting routine and reactive repair ensuring all deliverable targets are met or exceeded. · Responsible for Electrical / Mechanical maintenance on a day-to-day base on plant equipment and building equipment. · To be able to complete electrical installations to the latest regulations within a fast-moving factory environment. · Perform electrical maintenance to both. · Support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of key automated manufacturing plant equipment. · Implement, document and report routine maintenance schedules for both plant and machinery using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) · To assist all trades within the facility and complete mechanical repairs when required. · Completing reactive work orders within time parameters. · Proactive problem-solving ability, ability to think objectively through various options and scenarios. Qualifications for multi skilled engineer · Knowledge of AC/DC drives and their associated motors or pumps. · PLC fault-finding to function as our ‘go-to’ for all electrical controls matters. · In depth knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. · Plenty of initiative, meticulous with detail and enormous pride in your work. · A good working knowledge of health & safety procedures is desirable. · 18th Edition Qualification. · Qualified to City & Guilds (Level 3) in an electrical / mechanical engineering discipline. · Ideally apprentice trained with experience from an automated, fast paced manufacturing environment. · Working knowledge of high temperature ovens and blow moulders. · Strong practical maintenance background, working within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
