Classical Civilisation Teacher Location: Ashford Salary: £120 to £250 per day Start Date: September 2024 Contract: Full-time, long-term GSL Education are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Classical Civilisation Teacher to join a prestigious secondary school in Ashford. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator to inspire students in the study of classical history, literature, and culture, helping them to develop a deep appreciation for the ancient world. The Classical Civilisation Teacher role is a long-term role starting September 2024 and could potentially be permanent. Key Responsibilities of Classical Civilisation Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in Classical Civilisation, covering topics such as ancient history, literature, art, and philosophy. Inspire students to develop a passion for classical studies and support their academic growth. Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to guide their learning. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices. Participate in school events and activities, contributing to the wider school community. Classical Civilisation Teacher Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Proven experience teaching Classical Civilisation or related subjects at secondary level. Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for the ancient world. Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and engage students. A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
