Job Title: CNC Miller Setter
Job Type: Days based, Perm
Hours: 8.00am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday and from 8.00am-1.00pm on Fridays.
Location: Abingdon
Salary: £17 - £19 per hour
A skilled CNC Miller Setter is required for a major supplier to high-tech companies in the UK’s Oxford/Cambridge Arc of Innovation and Technology. Supplying to Nuclear fusion, Space Technologies, Medical innovation, F1 and many other demanding industries.
We are seeking a skilled candidate with experience of multi axis CNC Machining, and
Quality inspection including use of CMM
Your duties include:
? CNC Machining, and setting
? Operation of 3,4 & 5 axis CNC milling machines.
? Performing CMM inspection and production of inspection reports when required.
? Using initiative to improve quality/throughput etc o Working to scheduled lists
? Operate within a 5's manufacturing environment and to ISO 9001 :2015 quality standards
EXPERIENCE:
? Demonstrable experience of Fanuc controls or similar but not essential
? Experience of working with a variety of materials to tight tolerances
? Thorough experience of multi axis CNC machining
? Use of inspection tools (able to perform 100% inspection) and CMM desirable
? Thorough experience of reading & interpreting component drawings and instructions Working to high quality standards
? Programming – Advantageous
Qualifications
? Engineering apprenticeship desirable
? National Engineering Technical certificate
? NVQ's or City and Guilds
