Design Coordinator

Information Coordinator (aka Design Coordinator) | High-End Residential Hampshire | Permanent Salary negotiable (DoE) Information Coordinator (aka Design Coordinator) position (could even suit a good site / project manager that enjoys design) on a super-prime residential project in Hampshire. This is a permanent position but the company would also consider freelance (for circa 11 months) The company is a well-established, prestigious, family run building contractor that specialises in renovation, extension and refurbishments of period and bespoke one-off properties. The project is upwards of £90m on a 2,000+ acre estate - a one off project to have on your CV! The role: Requires someone identifying the changes in the drawings, and coordinating the drawings between the different sub-contractors and the architect. They use a system called Procore for their documentation management, but this isn't a role to just look at the information but needs someone from a technical background who can actually make the design changes. For example, a cold-water pipe coming in to the side of a room or different services coming in to a room; make sure architects' info has it listed in the correct position. Make sure everything is coordinated, structural info is there in the drawings, so the sub-contractors are working to the exact brief. Have quite a lot of contractor design portions and a lot of architect information. Responsibilities: Provide management & review of architects, engineers & trade contractor's information to ensure full coordination & build ability. Chair & manage actions from progress meeting held at site. Review & comment on drawings & technical submittals. Inspect contractor works according to technical specs, benchmark & quality standards. Propose solutions & details to solve technical issues when required in conjunction with architectural & engineering teams.
