Located just minutes from Winnipeg Airport, this is an excellent opportunity for a student who is looking to grow and develop their professional career in the consulting industry. This exciting work-integrated learning opportunity offers hands-on experience in Electrical building design and high voltage engineering. You will also have the opportunity to further develop your AutoCAD and Revit skills. This role will provide guidance and mentorship from a licensed engineer.Hours: 37.5 hours a weekThe Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:Assist with the design of electrical systems in commercial, institutional, residential, public, and private facilitiesAssist with the design of high-voltage systems for utility and private clientsPrepare construction drawings as directed by Project Engineer, Job Captain, and Design TechnologistAssist with the development and preparation of design sketches through the use of AutoCAD and RevitCheck and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design dataPerform general duties as required such as printing/plotting, submitting drawings to contractors, and completing mark-ups for 'as builts' and in turn updating MCW recordsParticipate in site visitsOther duties as assignedAttend and contribute to internal office and project-related meetingsRequired SkillsCurrently pursuing post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering TechnologyFamiliarity with AutoCAD and/or REVIT is an assetFamiliarity with Microsoft Office tools and applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OutlookDesire to work in a team-based environmentProven ability to meet deadlinesWe thank all candidates for their interest; however, only those being considered for an interview will be contacted.
