About the role We are looking for an IT Business Analyst experienced in the SAS IFRS17 Solution and Insurance Financial Reporting . This is a technical ITBA role on the FinSys team. You will have the opportunity to: Support SAS IFRS17 Systems Application Architects and Developers in evaluating proposed changes to the SAS IFRS17 solution and resulting impacts to up and down stream systems. Work with development and confirm delivered solutions meet the business needs.  Collaborate with Business Data teams, security, internal and external audit stakeholders. Analyze, communicate and document clear and concise Functional Requirements, System Specifications and Non-Functional Requirements from provided Business Requirements and Architectural Solutions. Research, analyze, understand and document using industry standard BA analysis methodologies such as What, Who, Why and the 5 Why’s. Required Skills Experience of 5 + years in IT, technical and functional analysis. Experience with SAS IFRS17 Solution. Experience and understanding of at least one of, Insurance P&C (underwriting, reinsurance, claims, group benefits, travel) Insurance Accounting principles / IFRS17. Understanding of audit requirements, data security requirements and financial data governance including regulatory requirements. Financial Reporting regulatory and corporate. Experience and knowledge of Integration and data mapping. Experience and knowledge using data manipulation tools such as SQL, Excel, VBA Macros, Power BI etc. Strong Gap Analysis skills and identification of Functional Dependencies. Team-oriented and demonstrates collaborative skills. Well developed skills in documentation for development and production support teams. Solid understanding of System Development Life Cycle. Good knowledge of development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid, SDLC, SCRUM, Kanban). For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country. No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada. Nice to Have Experienced with or having a basic understanding of SAS language. Experience with Oracle ERP Modules, EDW or other data repository technology for reporting. Experienced in creating SQL queries, extracts and reports using TOAD and Fusion Reporting and Analytics Module Knowledge of Oracle FBDI and IICS REST APIs, Control M job creation and scheduling. Experience with Oracle Fusion, IICS Understanding of ETL in general. Been involved in mid-large size system development projects.
