About the Role
The Whitechapel Gallery is seeking an experienced People and Culture Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the organization's culture and ensuring that we attract, develop, and retain high-quality staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement HR policies and processes that align with best practices in the sector
- Develop and implement initiatives to embed equality, diversity, and inclusion
- Provide expert advice to the Senior Management Team on all HR matters
- Collaborate with the Deputy Director to foster a positive and inclusive working culture
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practices
Requirements
We are looking for a proactive and forward-thinking individual with a proven track record in HR. You will have experience in implementing HR initiatives and a strong commitment to fostering open communications and positive employee relations. Previous experience in the arts or non-profit sector is desirable but not essential.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate empathy with the mission and vision of Whitechapel Gallery and act with a high degree of personal integrity in a diverse cultural environment.
