Reporting to the Human Resource Manager, the Human Resources Consultant – Recruiter (works closely with the People Service Department, Marketing and Business Units in the sourcing and selection of well-qualified candidates for both in-scope and out-of-scope positions who share the values and vision of the organization. The HRC-Recruiter provides recruitment and selection support for a variety of positions, working through the interview process, candidate selection, and onboarding in a fast-paced, people-oriented environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manages the recruitment and selection process from start to finish.
- Coordinates the assessment and interview process using competency-based skill testing, behavioural interview questions and other appropriate assessment tools.
- Ensures that all recruitment procedures and policies are followed in a proactive, positive manner.
- Identifies training needs and develops training programs.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.
- Coordinates training sessions and workshops.
- Performs other duties as allocated.

Education and Experience
- Typically, the knowledge, skills and abilities required are obtained through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources roles, with a focus on recruitment, and HR administration.
- Previous experience in a unionized environment will be considered an asset.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of the Saskatchewan Employment Act, Canadian Human Rights Act, and other relevant provincial legislation.
- High degree of knowledge in best practices and trends relating to workforce planning, sourcing talent and learning development.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong and positive relationships with internal and external customers.
- Strong organizational skills including demonstrated experience in writing business documentation.
- Strong time-management skills and a proven track record of delivering quality results with attention to details.
- Computer proficiency required including Excel, Word, Outlook, databases, and the internet.
- Experience with Worklinks, Workable and Kronos/Dimensions is an asset.
- Independent, creative self-starter with ability to initiate and adapt to new ideas.
- Excellent decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of events and entertainment industry considered an asset.
