Marble Talent Group are working with a leading provider of fire and security solutions, dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of their clients. They specialise in the design, installation, and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems. They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Small Works Manager to join their dynamic team. Our client will also consider a senior engineer who is looking to make that step up into management. Job Summary: The Small Works Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing small projects and minor works related to fire and security systems. This role involves coordinating with clients, managing project timelines, supervising installation teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Plan, execute, and oversee small works projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and concerns, and providing regular project updates. Team Supervision: Lead and manage a team of technicians and subcontractors, ensuring they are fully briefed and equipped to perform their tasks efficiently. Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations, including health and safety protocols. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to project specifications. Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including work schedules, risk assessments, method statements, and progress reports. Resource Management: Coordinate the procurement and allocation of materials, tools, and equipment needed for projects. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the course of a project. Continuous Improvement: Evaluate completed projects to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices in future projects. Qualifications: Proven experience in a similar role or a senior engineer within the fire and security industry. Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and make informed decisions. Proficiency in using project management software and tools. Valid driver’s license. Benefits: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE Company vehicle 20 days holiday + bank holidays Must be open to travelling.
