Job Description
Asset Management provides an accurate account of all technology asset life cycle costs and risks to maximize the business value of technology strategy, architecture, funding, contractual and sourcing decisions.
We are seeking an experienced Technical SME within our Group Service Management organisation who will be responsible for defining, coordinating and governing Group's end-to-end Asset Management Lifecycle integration architecture. Ensuring the realisation of the qualitative and quantitative benefits of the BMC Discovery deployment, you will take part in the Asset Management design governance ensuring integrity of the broader technical architecture. You will be required to provide technical expertise to rectify issues with the deployment of BMC Discovery, ensuring that we have a full and accurate coverage.
What you'll do
- Create designs and implement these for integrations to ServiceNOW CMDB with source systems (BMC Discovery & others)
- Resolve implementation defects & bugs around integrations
- Provide technical consulting to Network Team to increase deployment of BMC Discovery
- Proactively engage in the feedback loop of the Asset service as part of continual improvement process.
- Write User Stories from the analysis of the requirements, which are then sent to Development team
- Able to amend/write BMC patterns to increase the coverage of CIs which are discovered through BMC Discovery
- Support the deployment of BMC Blueprint implementation (Service Mapping)
- Be seen as a subject matter leader in Asset centric solutions; including Telco assets, being seen to build strong relationships and credibility
- Foster the culture of innovation across the breadth of the group, teasing out opportunities, evangelising best practices and ensuring adoption of technological advancements across the broader organisation and aligning on longer term strategies.

- Your appreciation of integrations along with your experience of driving business transformation, specifically in relation to Asset Management, across multi-platform, multi-organisation, and complex technologies.
- A consultative and influencing approach to managing stakeholders, business engagements and supporting projects. You will benefit from your intellectual flexibility and pragmatism in finding out the relevance of various aspects of a given multi-domain architecture to identify allowable shortcuts and "quick wins".
- The ability to apply advanced analysis skills and experience in principals of solution architecture to define appropriate asset solutions.
- Ability to rapidly analyse and understand functions and operation of existing solutions and capabilities of new technologies
- Strong strategic and analytical problem-solving skills, a keen attention to detail a strong commercial sense with the ability to communicate information in a relevant and concise fashion, mindful of and tailored to the audience
