ELECTRICAL PROGRAMMER

The Automation Electrician is a member of the Engineering Team overseeing Canada Brick facilities reporting directly to their respective Maintenance Supervisors. This position is responsible for providing electrical maintenance to facility plant equipment. Includes breakdown root-cause analysis, removal, replacement, and installation of various components. Working knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, motors and controls, relays, and transformers.Specific Responsibilities:Technical – 80%Troubleshoot and maintain existing PLC programs for equipment & robotics.Calibration and testing of Safety Systems, Quality Control components.Maintain and replace electrical components including motors, encoders, sensors, contactors.This position will require participation with 24/7 on call duties to assist facilities meet production quotas.Maintain Electrical Log including ESA, TSSA.Communication – 20%Communicating with Maintenance Supervisor and Electrical Contractors for the implementation of new projects and repairs.Attending workshops or training sessions including safety, introduction to new or existing technologies such as PLC’s and VFD’sPrepare detailed reports or instructions utilizing electrical schematics.Ensuring successful completion of monthly PMs, and document modifications.Qualifications Required:Education, Credentials, Skills, and ExperienceCertified Electrician 442A or 309A, accredited College Diploma.Minimum 3 years of experience in an Industrial Manufacturing environment, focused on Electrical Automation / PLC Programming.Thorough understanding of PLC, HMI, VFDs & Robotics.Must be familiar with Siemens Step 7 Program.Winn cc and Profibus experience would be an asset.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Can work independently or with a team willingness to work overtime.Valid driver’s license.General Shale Brick offers a comprehensive benefits package, including, but not limited to: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Life Insurance and Vacation plans. #J-18808-Ljbffr
