Job Description

Reporting to the Vice-President of Finance, Productionin Montreal, while supporting the Toronto division heads of production, thisposition oversees the various aspects of Production Finance for the Toronto productionsand development activities.
More specifically :
- Manage the resources of the Productionfinance team (four permanent employees and external production accountants).
- Review development and production budgetsand ensure they are in line with the company’s profitability targets.
- Provide tax credits estimates and elaboratefinance plans which maximize the various sources of financing available.
- Monitor eligibility of projects withregards to tax credit guidelines and financing partners requirements.
- Review all financing and broadcasters’agreements and make sure they are signed in a timely manner to respect thefinancial obligations of the Toronto divisions.
- Oversee the production loan portfolio toensure timely loan closings and collections of milestone payments.
- In collaboration with the VP Production& Development, track cost reports on a regular basis and maximizeprofitability of the productions and development projects.
- Plan the final production costs audits withexternal auditors and oversee all government audits.
- Ensure compliance and oversee reporting andpayments related to subsequent exploitations of the catalogue (guild residuals,and recoupment of investors and profit participants).
- Approve weekly electronic payments(including payroll) alongside Chief Accountant to ensure compliance withinternal controls for all productions and development projects
- Review and sign off of the quarterlyproduction reporting deliverables to the Corporate Finance team.
- Assist the Vice-President of Finance,Production in the annual budget process and provide quarterly forecasts.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience inthe industry
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA certification is an asset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Autonomy and excellent organization skills
- Capacity to work under pressure with shortdeadlines
