Keltbray are looking for Drone Pilots to join our team. Supporting the Survey Team, you will form an integral part of the flight team and will be responsible for on-site data acquisition using UAV platforms and ensuring data integrity. Prior to data capture, you will be responsible for mission planning, equipment preparation, and liaising with ATC if applicable. Duties and responsibilities You will play a significant role in the processing, management, and presentation of data. Data will typically include photography & videography, photogrammetry, LiDAR, thermal imagery, and GNSS survey control data. You will assist with the management of aircraft, maintenance & software updates as/when required, manage flight logs, and update all associated documentation. Prior to mobilisation, you will be responsible for ensuring all equipment and personnel are prepared, and that all briefs and survey tasks are fully understood. Skills, experience, and qualifications * HND/degree in Land Survey, or Geomatics, or equivalent. * Hold PfCO GVC certificate with experience flying multirotor and fixed-wing drones/model aircraft in a commercial environment. * Experience with laser-scanning products and advanced data manipulation for BIM implementation is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided. * Understanding of photogrammetry principles and the software processes / applications involved, in order to provide survey grade data to our clients. * Experience in preparing drone & survey-related Method Statements and Risk Assessments. * Experience with flight planning, meteorology, system preparation and airspace management in compliance with CAA regulations * Must be able to proficiently use a GPS kit/Total Station/Level. * Good communication (both written and verbal) skills. * Solid report writing and compilation skills. * Excellent attention to detail, high levels of organisation, and ability to communicate effectively as part of diverse team. * The applicant shall have a full UK driving licence as the role will require travel around the country In return * Generous Salary * Company Vehicle * 25 days Holiday plus Bank Holiday * Pension * Learning & Development opportunities * Assistance and Wellbeing support Equal opportunities: Keltbray are an equal opportunities employer, and we are determined to ensure that no applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, age disability, religion, belief, sexual orientation, marital status or race, or is disadvantaged by conditions or requirements which cannot be shown to be justifiable.
